Headwind Hero

Want to know if you have headwinds or tailwinds? This app is for you!

Headwind Hero downloads the current wind speed and wind direction at your location, and shows the headwind or tailwind component. Color coded, so you know how much the wind influence is.

Wind speed as a large effect on a car's (fuel) efficiency. Travelling at 75 MPH (~120 km/h), with a 15 MPH (~24 km/h) headwind, the aerodynamic drag is equivalent to 90 MPH (~144 km/h)! This decreases fuel efficiency considerably, or dramatically lowers the range in your electric vehicle (EV).

With Headwind Hero, you know when you should decrease speed to maximize your efficiency, or when you can speed up if there is a tailwind (mind you, never break the speed limit).

You can also use the app on your bike, to give you bragging rights on much headwind you encountered during your ride.
